Terms, Policies, and Waiver of Liability

By booking a stay at Moorea Beach Villas (“MBV”), you agree to abide by the following Terms, Policies, and Waiver of Liability. These terms are designed to ensure clarity, transparency, and mutual respect between our guests and our facility.

1. Reservations and Payments

1.1. Booking Confirmation

A reservation is only confirmed upon receipt of a deposit equal to 50% of the total booking amount.
The remaining balance must be settled 7 days before the check-in date.
For reservations made within 7 days of arrival, the full amount will be charged at the time of booking.
Reservations are guaranteed until the arrival date. If the guest does not arrive, the room may be reassigned.

1.2. Payment Methods

MBV accepts payments via secure online payment links, credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express), prepaid debit cards.
Guests are responsible for any additional bank or transaction fees.
A valid credit card and the guest’s full name are required for all reservations.

1.3. Taxes and Fees

All bookings are subject to:

A 13% government tax.
An accommodation fee of 120 XPF per person, per night.

1.4. Cancellation Policy

30 days or more before check-in: Full refund of the deposit.
Less than 30 days before check-in: Forfeiture of the deposit.
No-shows or early departures: Non-refundable.

1.5. Changes to Reservations

Guests may request changes to their reservations, subject to availability and MBV approval.
Additional charges may apply for modifications.

2. Check-In and Check-Out Procedures

2.1. Check-In

Check-in Time: Between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM local time. Early arrivals may notify staff for arrangements.
Required at Check-In:
A valid photo ID.
Full payment and pre-authorization for the security deposit.
Smart Lock Access: Guests will receive a smart lock code and a remote control. Damaged or lost remotes will incur replacement charges deducted from the deposit.
Our staff will provide information about your stay, including a guest app for local activities and dining options.

2.2. Check-Out

Check-out Time: By 10:00 AM local time.
Late check-outs are subject to prior approval, availability, and additional fees.
Before Departure:
Wash dishes or load them into the dishwasher.
Dispose of trash in provided bags (additional bags are available upon request).
Final Inspection: A detailed inspection will be conducted after check-out. Damages, missing items, or excessive cleaning needs will result in charges deducted from the security deposit.
The deposit will be released within 7 business days, pending inspection.

3. Waiver of Liability

3.1. Acknowledgment of Risks

By participating in activities or using facilities and equipment provided by MBV, guests acknowledge the following:

Non-Motorized Water Activities (Kayaks):
Kayaks are provided free of charge and are used at your own risk.
Life jackets are available on site, please ask the staff. We recommend to wear before kayaking
Guests assume full responsibility for any bodily injury, property damage, or incidents during their use and confirm receipt of safety instructions and usage guidelines.
Return kayaks, rams and life jackets
Private Pools:
Access to private pools is reserved exclusively for guests and is used at your own risk.
MBV is not liable for injuries, accidents, or incidents caused by improper use, lack of supervision, or reckless behavior.
Lagoon Swimming:
Swimming in the lagoon is an unsupervised activity with inherent risks, such as tides, currents, and marine life.
By swimming in the lagoon, guests accept full responsibility for their safety and understand that MBV is not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or losses.

3.2. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, guests:

Waive, release, and discharge MBV and its representatives from any liability, claims, or demands for injury, damage, or loss resulting from their use of facilities, equipment, or participation in activities, including but not limited to:
Bodily injury, illness, or death.
Property damage or loss.
This waiver applies even if the injury or damage is caused by the negligence of MBV or its staff.

3.3. Indemnification

Guests agree to leave a credit card for security deposit and to indemnify MBV for any costs on this card arising from damages or injuries caused by their negligence or intentional actions during their stay.

4. No Smoking Policy

MBV is a strictly non-smoking facility, including all bungalows, villas, and shared areas. Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas.

Cleaning Fee: A fee of 150 Euro will apply for odor removal and deep cleaning if this policy is violated.

5. Damage and Liability

5.1. Guest Responsibility

Guests are responsible for:

Damages to property or facilities caused during their stay.
Missing or misplaced items.
Excessive cleaning required as a result of their stay.
Costs incurred will be charged to the guest’s payment method.

5.2. MBV Liability

MBV is not liable for:

Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
Injuries or accidents on the property caused by guest negligence.

6. Property Use and Conduct

Accommodations are for registered guests only. Visitors require prior approval.
Quiet hours are observed between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM to respect the property’s tranquility.
Parties and events are prohibited.
